Good stuff man, more vids like this. Also what's the Song's title?
@Drawing The Defense how about the last one? Thanks in advance btw.
Thanks man! Sorry for the late reply but the song is It'll Be Alright by R.LUM.R
With Luka, you hesitate and you are dead.
great video bro!!!
there is no limitation to creativity
music track please?
He is a talented guy with second to none pre-NBA experience. Everyone says he played against grown men in Europe. Yeah, that's right. But you keep forgetting that coaching in Euroleague is at the much higher level than in the NBA. Every game in the Euroleague is like a play-off game because each win or loss can make a huge difference in regular season standings. So, you always face-off the best tactics an opposing team can put against you. Your coach is gonna use his team strengths against the other team's weaknesses, which includes a change of starting lineup, tactical fouls, putting a decent defender against an opposing team leader, stepping out a playmaker on defence, putting a big man for scoring in the paint against a short lineup, playing for extra pass, etc. Because of his you might play 30 mins or maybe 5 minutes only. It's all about tactics and strategy. What I see in the NBA is going all-in. So, no wonder why it's easier for Luka to score in the NBA than in the Euroleague.
My boy luka is just too good!
Bruh how did he know he was there at 0:15? HOW?
Clearly he saw reflection on the board /s
No clue on that one 🤷🏻
they're called carries, travels, push offs and illegal moving screens.
Hm, all I have been thinking was that these defenders really are bad in those plays. But maybe Luka just makes them look bad.
Nice Video, just a small advice, maybe tone down the background music a little bit
Luka is unbelievable he's got the full package
sorry but that backgroundmusic is way to loud ... made this vid unwatchable for me
Others agree with you so I focused on lowering the background music in my newest video if you’d like to check that out. Thanks!
Oh my god he has good court view and IQ tf Goat luka 🐐
Nice video man but on videos like these where your voice is the most important try to not use music that loud
Thanks man! I have received similar feedback from other people as well so I’m trying to really focus on that for the next video. I’m going to try to upload a video on the Denver Nuggets tomorrow hopefully so we’ll see!
he sees hos open
Kyrie Irving hates Luka Doncic. Anybody know why? Look up Kyrie's statement (2021, NYC) on Black Kings and the making of the NBA. I've loved the NBA since 1959.
music does not add value to your video... Rookie mistake..
luka is a cheat code
Great breakdown on Luka's offensive plays deceiving NBA defenses. The only thing in watching your videos is your voice trying to talk over the music in the first song but as the music tend to not be as bombastic your voice was more easier to listen to. It's a small thing but just a suggestion. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the feedback! I’m still trying to dial it all in so this is helpful
but he can't get a ring or maybe 1 ring only
Can you make this same video but of lamelo ball he does the same thing Luka does maybe even better
Genius player of all time.
WTF wrong with background music .. dude keep it down
Awesome breakdown, subscribed!
Nice video ! I like that you show the play first and then explain.
Lukas most dominant assets is his ability to make everyone come to his pace. Slows is down a lot.
Like the Special Forces say. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
This is real life gold
1:32 blow my mind dude pass the ball because he new the guy is going for the close out on mid air wtf 😳
great video man, I was just yesterday watching some of his assists in slomo to figure out how he creates space btw, whats the name of the first track?
all that luka's teammates need to do is make the shot
@VROQ he's a better defender now. there's still a room for improvement though
And defend because as much as I love LUka since he's in the Euroleague, he needs to be more consistent on D
The adamant tooth commercially fire because taurus taxonomically agree from a jazzy criminal. eager, nimble gate
Luka is just crafty, sometimes he looks like he is playing in slow motion, Lamelo and Luka are my favorite players.

Wow! I didn't realize he has all those awards, unbelievable! And to think he is years away from his prime.
I gotta say - this is quite analytic and accurate breakdown of seven very different plays made by Luka. I've never been more excited about a player since Jordan! I appreciate LeBron, but he was never my favorite baller.
@Phoe be I sincerely hope that this is a comedy bit. If your comment is real, though, then I feel sorry for you!)
Lol😂🤣mpj is the future MVP and face of NBA mpj don't need crazy stat to become the best just impact on I see mpj ceiling is like LeBron,Durant,Kawhi,Jordan who don't need crazy state to win a finals MVP is just freak beast while Luka player like harden, Westbrook stat padder🤣😂🤧💪🏻
Kid is insane
What music did you used?
Luka processes the floor in an instant, manipulates everybody while they are still trying to react to the initial move, when that was on purpose so he can counter with something unexpected.
Luka's great, but you're giving him too much credit. This is mostly Rick Carlisle manipulating defenses and Luka being the perfect player to fill the role.
@ALES KATIČ Luka doesn’t draw up high double screens and or down screen cuts for himself. Carlisle does that. He gives Luka space to create but he still controls the other players behaviors, allowing Luka to be a dual scoring/passing threat. I’m saying that every superstar level offensive player “manipulates defenses” because that’s what offenses do, so the title is hyperbole, and that Carlisle was being modest.
Carlisle said that he doesn't draw plays for Luka, he lets him play how he want's because he earned his trust and it makes no sense to limit Luka. Offense comes from Luka defense comes from coach.
Yeah, what I didn’t mention in the video is that a lot of players (even role players) do manipulative things like this, but it’s pretty cool how he’s doing it at such a young and age has so many tools in his box
First play I would’ve kicked it out to Tim (#11)
he reminds me of good poker players where you have to balance the approach and make different decisions in similar situations to be impredicatable and difficult to play against
awsome man. When Luka played in Europe we all fans were astonished by his understanding and feel for the game. I don't get it why quite a few teams passed on Luka in the draft, especially when the then Suns coach Igor Koloshkov who won a gold medal in Eurobasket national team championship with Luka the year before the draft. The Suns had the first pick. Deandre Ayton is a very skilled player but not a franchise changing player. The kings also passed on Luka, but I heard Luka's father was in a feud with Vlade Divac.
Igor Kokoskov when asked about Suns not choosing Doncic, said that he sleeps peacefully at night, I mean he said it all ...
@Drawing The Defense ture, a good center was the missing piece for the Suns
I agree with you regarding Igor, he definitely wanted Luka and it seems off when your FO and your coach disagree. That being said it’s good to see Ayton playing well and the Suns killing it
They thought he was too un-athletic and slow. The scouts said his ceiling was Manu Ginobili and Hedo Turkoglu 😂
In Dallas we love Vlade Divac

Turn the music down while you are commenting.
Love the content, but music is a bit too loud, makes it hard to focus on what you're saying.
Noted. Thanks for the feedback!
This is why Luka will be one of the GOATS!!! 🔥🔥❤️ NICE VIDEO SIR!
Great job! Video suggestion: I'm baffled by the coaching of the Washington Wizards, from rotations to the on-court stuff. Here's my theory: both Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook suffer from a lack of spacing in terms of efficiency and offensive options. Prime example: the Miami game where Beal went 1/14 'cause nobody guarded Rui or Lopez out on the perimeter and he was walled off just like Russ. Another example: the past 3 games. Westbrook was tearing it up twice but then was horribly inefficient in spite of feeding Hachimura and the bigs. Turnovers are one story but I see a strong correlation to lack of spacing. In Bertans and Bryant they're missing a lot of spacing at the 4 and 5. Small forward is a massive weakness. With Beal out you got a good shooter in Matthews at the 2 but he never seems to get sufficient shots or playing time. Is that related to Matthews' performance or should the coach involve him (and whoever plays at the 3) more in the offense? I watch the games, see terrible spacing and a lack of offensive balance, often combined with poor efficiency. On top of poor defense and injuries (Gafford could have been an enticing lob target and alternative to Lopez' post-ups and hook shots). My approach would be to use all the shooting you can get aggressively and build rhythm and confidence for wing players like Matthews, Avdija or Hutchison, even Bonga, so high-volume guys like Beal, Westbrook and Hachimura maybe sacrifice a shot or 3 but operate with more space, get easier baskets, the defense has to defend all 5 guys, there are more plausible passing options and the efficiency increases. At the same time I'd further encourage Hachimura to shoot 3s at a volume of 3 to 5 a game, the team and his game will need it in the long run. That's the theory. I'm aware the talent level is limited but it ain't limited to the degree of making 5-7 threes total a game. Would love to hear your take on what's wrong with the team along with some video breakdowns. Keep up the good work!
@Drawing The Defense With regards to Matthews there's two camps among fans: one that thinks he's highly efficient, needs a bigger role, more shots and a combination of poor coaching and lack of spacing prevents him from getting more shots/being freed off his defender and one camp that thinks he's a bench player at most as he's not using his strengths, turning down shots and looks good as a defender but it doesn't translate to results (or that he's solely a 2 but can't defend small forwards). Matthews is an interesting case as in theory he could be one of the very few two-way players on the roster who absolutely has to play given the lack of those, the desperate need for shooting and the team's issues on both ends. It has been but a theory so far
I’m really not qualified to answer this right now as I haven’t watched a lot of wizards this year, but I’ll keep it in mind. No promises but that’s an interesting concept. I see what you’re saying about Matthews, he is a gunner and maybe I’m not aware of a flaw in his game keeping him from getting minutes. They need shooters around Rui imo but probably want to pair Beal with a good big as well that can rim run as well as feed him on Backdoor cuts
Luka - King !!!
Good stuff man!
@Ralph Darren yup, I've been watching on flixzone for since november myself :D
Pro tip: you can watch series at Flixzone. Been using them for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.
hire him sir
Just a side note... it's interesting how quick that Denver player broke the screen and recovered the defense....
Who the hell would subscribe to this fantasy thinking!
If anyone watches Euroleague basketball (2005-2016), the top screen leading to pick n roll or 3 point open shot (spacing) movement closely resembles Diamantidis. Diamantidis was one of the best minds in passing the ball (Europe) and Doncic movements are very close to his on the NBA. Its different because of the bigger NBA spacing but the principles are the same. Diamantidis was one of the best players (3 championships) in euroleague mainly because of that amazing intuition pass after the top screen.
True, can see the similarities between the two
Luka has perfected Dimitris stepback 3, has a touch of Spanoulis too.
Very nice video not only about Luka but about how beautiful and complex basketball is. Must be shown to all casual fan.
Imagine thinking basketball is complex. One of the least complex sports there is.
Thanks man!! Yeah basketball really is a beautiful thing. I never get sick of it - at least good basketball haha. Some teams can be boring but there will always be creative teams and players
The only person who gets triple-teamed in today's NBA. xD
@anonymous he never said they didn’t he just said the first players that came to mind lol. And no one gets triple teamed more than harden did in Houston
@ThuggaThuggaBaby nah i preffered curry and dame more considering how the defender react to them.. they still got double team off the ball lmao
@anonymous he said there’s more lol so you shut up
@Ninja Channel stop it, u forgot Dame time and Chef curry.. they got double team once they cross the half court..
New sub! Would love to see a video on off screening/cutting. Who are some of ur fav players/teams to see to these types of plays?
@Drawing The Defense yeah exactly! something like the Suns video but for other teams....another idea could be duos or teammates that work together (eg bam and duncan) and the diff options they have.
Sets can be difficult because they’re difficult to recognize when teams run them slightly differently and I don’t have enough time to watch all the teams, but I think I could do that for the best plays. I did one like that for the Suns recently but it didn’t have commentary. It would be a challenge but that’s sort of what I had in mind.
@Drawing The Defense random suggestion that I haven't seen anyone doing: a video series going through the best sets/plays that you have seen from every nba team (maybe even other leagues/colleges)
Thanks Arqum! I appreciate the suggestion because half the battle for me is coming up with video ideas. No promises but I’ll do my best. I was actually thinking of doing a video on how the Nuggets use flex action to get Murray open shots or get his teammates layups. Hopefully I can get that done soon but it’s been harder to find examples than I originally thought. I really like the way Bradley Beal uses Backdoor cuts, and I think the Phoenix Suns are a really good team at off ball movement and cutting. I’ll take a look but I also do have an older video on the Warriors split cuts which is one of my favorite off ball actions with screening and cutting simultaneously.
Luka is the best player in the world 3 years straight
my favorite was 0:47, he is really ahead of everything.
Oh man I really duffed it on that one! I totally meant to include that in the analysis but forgot and now it’s just on the intro. But he runs a give and go which is the exact thing you want to do when you get in trouble in the air, because obviously you don’t want to travel, but the give and go makes it easier to get in front of your man because you can run faster if you’re not dribbling. Since he has his man beat, the big has to help, and he puts his defender in jail once again, and it’s impossible for the defensive big to know if he’s shooting a floater or throwing a lob, so he doesn’t know whether to contest or sink back to his man.
But who cares if he manipulates defenses, when he can't play any defense himself?
@Tyler Swinney yeah bro u found the weakness in his game u happy now fucking loser
@G T luka ranks in the 95th percentile in one on one defending situations allowing .43 points per possession... But you dont wanna talk about that... Foh
He's a big boi what do you want from him? Of course he can't defend the speedy PG's he's as big as Montrezl Harrell (when they got into an argument i was astounded that Luka standing next to him was just as big as him). They also can't defend him either and he's better than all of the other PG's so its a net positive. Mavs average 100 points a game without Luka in the lineup and are 1-4. They average 115 points a game and have a 25-17 record with him in the lineup.
So casual. IF you watch Dallas games, he improved his defense this season.
3x more blocks this season. Defensive metrics much improved. There is a video out there demonstrating his much improved D this year.
Hey man please check heat check channel
luka just has an insane basketball IQ for his age that’s why everyone is shook
hes a quick learner
@krakatit77 Magic was a point guard. He's supposed to dish out assists. That's his job. That's what point guards do. Bird was a small forward. The fact that Bird has as many assists as he did as a forward underlines how good he was.
@Tamila Shultz If you compare Magic´s and Bird´s career stats, Magic had almost twice as many assists so he was clearly better playmaker than Bird who had more points and so was the better shooter.
@krakatit77 The most cerebral player ever was Bird. Much more so than Magic.
@blic leak LeBron is not all that smart. He relies on his size and jumping ability.
I’m feelin the music
That thumbnail 🤣
I have just discovered this channel and I have to say that I am impressed with the explanations.
Thanks Jose I appreciate that! Hopefully I can keep it up
nice video, keep doing the commentary!
